Okay, so I have a data layer that was creating in CAD and exported as shapefile. It was then added into ArcMap and we tried to add additional fields into the attribute table. This all appeared to work fine, until we opened the map the next day. The layer had that red exclamation point, so we tried to establish the layer to the data and we got the following error:
Error repairing the layer.
Number of shapes does not match the number of table records.
I have very little experience using files from CAD. Is that the issue here? Would it be better to covert the CAD file within ArcMap instead?
Any insight would be very appreciated!
