In ArcGIS 9.3.1 I want to assign the current Date as a Default Value to a Datefield. I thought I could use Now() as the Default Value, but it doesn't Work.

I know I have done it before, but I have forgotten how

Hello

I have tried with getdate() in stead, but that didn't Work neither.

But I found out of what I had done earlier.. I did not use ArcCatalog or ArcToolbox to set the Default Date Value.

I used a personel geodatabase (Access), and in Access I could set the Default Value on the Date-field with Now().

And that Works. Now when I open the Feature Class for editing in ArcMap the Default Data (Current Date) is automatically filled in.

Try using getdate() function instead of Now()
