Georeferenced raster in geodatabase conversion

Hello,

I've got a question about geodatabase conversion. I georeferenced a scanned map in ArcGIS 10.1 and was allowed to save it only to File geodatabase. Then I wanted to open the referenced scan in ArcGIS 9 and work with it on different PC. I couldn't opet the ArcGIS 10 geodatabase in ArcGIS 9 so I searched the forums and found the XML export/import hint. But when I export the 10.1 geodatabase into XML and import it into 9.3 geodatabase (created in ArcCatalog 9.3), it didn't give me back any error message eventhough when I open the scan in ArcMap 9.3, its?? resolution is lowered to 26x26 pixels and spatial information is missing. Is there a way how to convert the ortorectified scan from 10.1 geodatabase into 9.3 geodatabase without losing the spatial information?

Thanks for any answer

Geodatabases are not often forward-compatible, certainly not across multiple versions.

You'd be more likely to have success creating an empty 9.3 geodatabase, then filling
it directly with ArcGIS 10.1 (without upgrade).  You still may run into compatibility
issues if you are using 10.1 capabilities, but at least you'll have a chance

Thanks for the answer, I just kept working in ArcGIS 10 and skipped all the troubles with compatibility. Thanks for your idea, anyway, next time I'll try it out.
