Hello,

I have a set of firms (around 5000) and I have managed to get their geolocation (latitude and longitude). All these firms belongs to a city, which is divided in 15 districts, and I have the correct shape file. After opening the correct shape file, I have been successful in adding a layer with the X-Y coordinates of the firms and exporting the X-Y data into a shape file.

I am able to visualize these objects on top of the borders and divisions in my shape file. What I need is to have ArcGIS to give me back what district the firms belong to. Maybe, adding a column in the attribute table? This would be important because my analysis would be at the district level.

cheers,
