Hi everyone,
I am currently using AutoCad 2013. Is there a way to import or download the world imagery to AutoCad?
I am also using ArcGIS 10.0 and I have no problem bringing that into my ArcMap projects but, I would also want to bring the same imagery into AutoCad. Can anyone help with that please?

Best regards,

Using ArcGIS for AutoCAD, you can add the World Imagery map service into AutoCAD 2013.  It is a map service, not a raster image, so you'll need the plug in to view the imagery.  It isn't the best for plotting--the raster quality isn't sufficient--but it is great for visualizing.

Thanks for replying, I did download it and run the ArcGIS for AutoCAD. However, how do I add service or plug in to be able to view the data I bring in?

This is the error message I get when I try to insert a map from ArcGIS in AutoCAD. See attached file.

Thanks again,

Your timing is impeccable.  There was a minor glitch accessing services after an ArcGIS Online update.  This glitch has now been resolved.  Try it again and you should be ok.
