When created from a mosaic dataset compiled of several hundred or more rasters, the Copy Raster tool creates a raster missing a portion of the original image.

This bug exists in ArcGIS 10 Service Pack 3 and I request esri to fix it in SP4 or in a patch.

I'm pretty sure that i'm facing exactly the same problem. i am very disappointed since we're running arcgis 10 SP4 desktop and the bug is still present. ;(
i'm facing the same problem when clipping (large portions of) the mosaic dataset instead of exporting the entire mosaic to a file geodatabase.

anybody an idea how to export/clip 20'000+ tiles from a 200'000 tiles mosaic dataset? or any hints tipps and tricks how i can assemble those 200k 4megapixel tiles to a raster dataset, regarding the fact that the mosaic's uncompressed size is around 3.7TB (8bit unsigned)?

since the 'mosaic to new raster' tool doesn't handle even 10000k tiles to build a mosaic at once, i ran out of ideas!

every hint is appreciated!

ps: the mosaic consists of rectangular non-overlapping jpg+jgw tiles, covering the site seamlessly without caps. no fancy footprints etc.

Please help!  I have the same problem.  Has anyone figured out how clip a mosaic in 10.0?

Why not create an unmanaged raster catalog and then export to a raster via the Raster Catalog to Raster Dataset?  Since you are not using any of the custom display or performance improvements that are only available in a mosaic dataset, the unmanaged raster catalog should work.  I would recommend creating that and then convert if you are still having issues.
