Divide cell value into inclusive smaller cells

I have 2010 Census population data by Block and the town parcel information. I want to equally disperse (divide) the population value into the parcels within that census block.
Is there a function to do this?

Off the top of my head, use the field calculator

(Parcel1Area/BlockArea)*BlockPopulation = Parcel1Population
