Cannot edit file geodatabase

Hello,

For some reason I cannot edit my file geodatabase.  If I try to start editing, I get the following message:

Could not edit file in folder or database you selected.
Check to see you have appropriate permission.

Any idea why this would happen, It's a file that I created orignally.

Hi Jack,

In Windows Explorer, right-click on the File geodatabase file (e.g., [nameofgeodatabase].gdb) > Properties. Verify that it is not set to be "read-only".
