CAN I EDIT A POLYGON?

Greetings,

We are looking at ArcGIS Explorer to replace a mapping product that we use to draw polygons on maps to show the public an area affected by a hazard.

We currently have the capability to draw the polygon by clicking on a location, move to a different location, click again, and then repeating this process until we complete the polygon.  Afterwards the user can click and drag the points along the polygon lines to the exact location they need on the map.  This allows the user to quickly draw the area then resize within the map product to make it line up correctly to the geopgraphical features (roads, rivers, canals, etc.) that the public can see and identify.

This is the one sticking point our users have brought up as a roadblock to switching.  Any assistance/advice would be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Steven

ArcGIS Explorer is just viewer software, so I would assume you could not edit features with it. You should check with your local esri sales rep though. I'm sure they can recommend something.
