Biodiversity Data Model

Hello,

Our organization wants to store observations of fish using a standard.

On the ESRI web site, there is a reference to a model called the Biodiversity Data Model

On the page, the documentation is dated 2002

My questions are:

Do you know if there is still development done on this model?

Is this a theoretical model or are there any implementation, a template with different tables (Geodatabase) with integrity rules and topological (such as that can be downloaded with the data model ArcMarine )?
