Active-active SDE cluster

Hi


Is it possible to setup an active-active SDE cluster over a clustered Oracle DB?

or

Having 2 SDE machines both configured to work with the same DB (in order to achieve load balancing)

Does anyone have any experience with such configurations?

I've searched but couldn't find anything helpful.

Direct Connect was created to avoid the issues created by trying to run multiple
application servers from a single instance.

Note that running a pair of servers may require twice the ArcGIS Server licenses.
