In our organization, we have 8 parcel fabric technicians editing an enterprise parcel fabric service in a branch versioned database. We try to stay out of each other's way, but occasionally, we are in the same area editing nearby parcels. We do a lot of large edits, such as Weighted LSA, which involves many parcels, lines and points. We can be editing several hundred features in one version.
When we were using ArcMap traditional versioning, whenever we tried to edit a feature that another user is editing in another version, we would get a pop-up warning us, so we could come back later.
In Branch Versioning, this is not the case and we are able to edit the same feature, and we only notice that someone else was in the same area when we get a Conflict when Reconciling.
Now you can imagine how cumbersome the conflict resolution is when we have hundreds of them.
I request that Branch Versioning pops out a warning to current user when another user is editing the same feature in another version.
