Sandra Coveny has been a Conservation GIS leader for over 2 decades. Beginning with her work co-founding the Society for Conservation GIS with Charles Convis in the mid-1990's, she organized the very first SCGIS International Conferences in the late 1990's and served as SCGIS President and Board Member. Sandra helped bring GIS & Conservation Planning to watershed councils in the Pacific Northwest. More recently she has been working as a GIS & Climate Change Resiliency expert with tribal organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
