I asked a question that was answered and somehow was assigned to a different user name: TomBrown1.
But I already have an account: tbrownhome. Is there a way of associating the post under TomBrown1, and the accepted solution, with my tbrownhome account?
When I logged-in under TomBrown1, I could accept the solution. But if I'm logged-in as tbrownhome, I can't.
Maybe I posted the question without being logged in. Is that possible? I just want any posts to be associated with my actual ESRI account.
Hi @tbrownhome, from what you're describing it sounds like you may own two Esri Community accounts: TomBrown1 and tbrownhome. This can happen when someone has more than one ArcGIS Public Account username and logs into Esri Community via each of them. Whenever someone goes to access Esri Community from an ArcGIS Public Account and the username is one Esri Community doesn't recognize, it prompts them to create a new Esri Community account to pair with it. It may be that had happened with you at some point.
If you look at the the two accounts, only TomBrown1 has posts associated with it as of right now. That would make sense for the situation you're describing since it means that the question you asked was from that account. In most cases, only the author of a post can mark a response as an Accepted Solution, with the exception of Esri Community MVPs, and Esri Staff.
Do you only want one Esri Community account and to have that associated with your tbrownhome details? If so, we may be able to help with that. Please feel encouraged to reach out to our team via email at esricommunity@esri.com so we can talk through what that would entail.
