In the ArcGIS Pro Questions community, I wonder if it would help to force users to tell us the following in mandatory fields (freeform textbox?):

  • ArcGIS Pro Version (i.e. ArcGIS Pro 3.2.2)
  • Datatype (i.e. Oracle 18c 10.7.1 EGDB)

That would avoid us needing to ask, "What version of Pro are you using, and what kind of geodatabase?" That could save us all a lot of time.

I’ve run into version-related confusion on the forums too—especially with ArcGIS Pro updates introducing major changes. Adding a required field for version would save a lot of back-and-forth. It’s the same logic I apply in lead capture with Phonexa: collect key data upfront to avoid miscommunication and streamline resolution. Saves everyone time in the long run.

Is it possible to implement this idea?

Hi @Bud, this is a feature request that's been part of our team conversations and we have brought it up with our platform vendor as a wish list item. It's not something we'll be able to implement on our own, but know that we recognize there is interest in seeing a solution along these lines so that we're continuing to explore options if/as they become available.
