Tools & Tips: Change Your Username

The value: There are many reasons why people may want to change their username. Perhaps you’ve legally changed your name, you have privacy concerns, or you just want to showcase your fun and creative side in a judgement free community. No matter what your reason for changing your username, Esri Community allows you to do this without affecting your account or content.
How to do it: Sign into Esri Community. Click your avatar near the top right of the navigation toolbar. Next, click My Settings. Under the Username tab, you will see a text box with your current username. Click in the text box and delete it. Type in your new username and click the Change Username button.
Keep in mind: A username cannot contain spaces and must be at least 2 characters up to a maximum of 30 characters in length. A username can contain letters, numbers, dashes and underscores.
