When I try to share my webmap as an application (specifically a shortlist template) I am not getting the option to use any of the point layers in my map as the shortlist layer... I am using my organizations hosted AGOL site to build the app and as a result I am being directed to the beta version of the shortlist webapp builder.  Can anyone help me get shortlist to use my points?

Hi Niclaos

Could you check that the Story Map Shortlist (beta) app is in the Configurable Apps gallery for your Organization? So if you go to My Content in ArcGIS Online and choose Create > App > Using a Template, do you see Story Map Shortlist in the list of apps? As a beta app, it is only present in ArcGIS Online (not available in Portal yet) and is only available if you are using ArcGIS Online in English, French, Spanish or German.

If it is present, when you share your web map containing one or more point layers using an app, and choose Shortlist, the Shortlist Builder should prompt you to see if you want to import the places in those layer(s) into your Shortlist. If that isn't working, could you post a link to your web map so we can try it out and see what is going on (assuming it can be shared publicly)?

Niclaos,

This might get more replies if moved to the Story Maps‌ space.

Take a look at this answer about your question of it being in beta (with other important answers too):

I believe your story map shortlist layer has to be in a specified format in order for it to show up properly in the map. Also, I believe the layers have to be public as well in order to see them (not sure though).
