I am using having issues importing locations via an Excel spreadsheet in BAO.

I am on the tab "Research Section" > "Import Locations."

When I import a spreadsheet (which has less than 4,000 records, and is smaller than 5 MB), the website will freeze.  It usually freezes right before uploading all of the locations (after I have corrected duplicate and/or incorrect addresses).  This has happened 5 times now, and is very inconvenient.

Can anyone offer any solutions for this?

Thanks.

The excel file has one unique field, which is Site Name.  I'm using Internet Explorer, and I've let the page sit for at least 10 minutes before cancelling.

David,

Try adding an additional numerical column and name it ID enter a 0 or 1 as the value.  Let me know if that does the trick here.

Jason R.

David,

Generally the most issues I have seen with Import Locations is with the Excel file itself.  Do you have a field that has a unique numerical identifier?  Also what internet browser are you using?  How long have you let it go when it appears to freeze?

I was able to load a file with around 400 records.  However, I've just tried to load a file with about 1,500 records, and it is freezing again.
