Continuing in the Apps for the Field mode for this week, today's focus is Collector for ArcGIS.
How Collector works:
1) Create - In ArcGIS, create a map for your data collection project. Design the form your field workers will use
2) Collect - On your mobile device, efficiently capture assets and observations, and perform inspections. Collect accurate locations and fill out map-driven forms.
3)Empower - Field-captured data is a single source of truth to use throughout your organization. Enable stakeholders to monitor projects and perform analysis.
Here are three web courses/ tutorials that can give you a jump-start to using Collector for ArcGIS.

Great! We were using Collector to collect data only recently and it is a great tool to allow for immediate updates of layers and maps with data right in the field! Someone else in my organization can view my updates as soon as I make them.
Collector is my main field app for collecting spatial data. I use my iPhone which has reasonable location accuracy, although not perfect.
