Using the Publisher extension, I am trying to create a data package from a large ArcReader file. It validates the data with no problems and also exports it with no problems, but stops during re-connecting to the data sources with a window that reads:

ArcMap has stopped Working

a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution ios available.

Close Program"

After closing our of ArcMap, a check of the package shows that the pmf has been created and all the data seems to be creating but none of it is displaying in the pmf. Any ideas?

To workaround the problem... if all the data was moved over, maybe you could reconnect your source MXD to the published data.  Then publish a relative path PMF (Delivering data with the map) into the data folder, to make use of the Packaged data.

This particular pmf is an update of one I have updated dozens of times. There is no issue with the pathways or where the data is, the packaging has always worked before. There was just another small shapefile added to this particular version and now the packaging isn't completing. Smaller Arcreaders are working just fine. I'm not sure if the process is timing out but there is no error message to that effect.
