I have a laptop running Vista 32bit. ArcReader is putting locks on my excel files that I have joined to layers using a relate. The problem I'm having is that even after I close ArcReader AND reboot the computer there is still a lock on the excel files which makes it impossible to update the files. Does anybody know anything about this? The only way I can get around it is if I open up the Windows Task Manager and End the ArcReader Process.
