Activating the GPS layer in Arcreader 9.3.1 causes the 'find' tool to deactivate

Hi,
Once the GPS layer is activated in ArcReader (9.3.1), the 'find' tool dialogue box can be selected but is automatically and instantaneously deselected.
The 'find' window remains open on the screen but none of the fields can be accessed?
Can anybody suggest a solution for this?

It's not just the find tool, as the windows refreshs with the GPS update (1-3 secs) it removes the focus from any selected tool. Havn't found a work around other than stopping the GPS layer or unchecking Pan to Point.

we ran into the same issue and figured out to just turn the gps layer off then do your searches.  Leaving the layer on with the constant updates blocked out anything we tried to do.
