Will ActiveSync 4.1 work with ArcPad 10.0.2?

Microsoft's ActiveSync 4.5 will not work on machines with Windows XP (SP3) because Microsoft ditched ActiveSync when the went to Vista, and no longer supports it.  From what I've read I need to install ActiveSync 4.1., and supposedly it works with Windows XP (SP3).

I am wondering if anyone has tested this on ArcPad 10.0.2?

I was surprised to see that you mentioned ActiveSync 4.5 was not compatible with XP SP3.  It wasn't until I took a look at the download page that I saw that they say it's only compatible up to SP2.

I utilized ActiveSync 4.5 with XP SP3 for almost two years before I upgraded to Windows 7.  We also have many other analysts here who utilize 4.5 with XP SP3 without issue.

Have you tried 4.5 and are running into problems?

I haven't utilized 4.1 with ArcPad 10 but according to the system requirements you must have 4.5.

If you haven't tried 4.5 yet I would say go ahead and download it.  I think you'll find that it works without issue.
