Unusal behaviour with AXF and rasters

I was wondering if anyone has experienced the following behaviour in Arcpad 8?

I have some tiffs each with a tfw and prj file. On my Pocket Loox device if I add the rasters first then a layer from an AXF geodatabase ArcPad is happy. When I add the the AXF layer (and yes it does have the same projection) then my rasters, ArcPad says for each raster that it does not have projection information do I want to assume its the same as the projection as set by the AXF layer! This is daft as obviously they do.

The same thing happens for me too, so you aren't special!  (ArcPad 8.03) I wonder if this bug is fixed in ap 10.  This has not caused me any pain yet, but I've been thinking about programming my map so rasters are added dynamically as you zoom into areas that have them.  It could be a problem if I have to code in a response each time this message shows up.
