Hello,

Is there a way to project a .ssf file on my map?  How would I go about importing this file?  Would GPS Analyst or ArcPad extensions be required?

Thank you.

Hola,

Your .ssf file is built from within GPS Correct; this will acquire its spatial reference system from your dataset. I don??t see where this file can have its spatial reference system altered. In order to import your data and associate the .ssf file with you, yes you will need GPS Analyst within ArcMap to check back in the data. Gracias!

Thanks. Would pathfinder office be able to convert the ssf file to something I can read in gis?

Hola Jack,

I am not 100% sure if Pathfinder Office would do this, simply because it is not one of our products. I have used it in the past and I do not recall this being one of the option, you are able to alter the spatial reference system to the shapefile(s)/data dictionary. Gracias, Jack!
