In the past I have been able to create shapefiles from a geodatabase for use in ArcPad 10, such that the domains are available as dropdowns in the data entry screen. Problem is that I can't remember how I did it. Simply exporting data from the geodatabase using ArcGIS or ArcCatalog 10.0 gives me shapefiles, but no dropdowns. The shapefiles I created in the past include a .vbs file, but I'm not getting it now, so I suspect that the .vbs file supports the dropdowns. I'm not interested in checking in/out the data, just want to move it around using shapefiles. How can I create the shapefiles for ArcMap and have the dropdowns work?
