When i installed ArcPAD 10.2 on my desktop, I received 2 eror message.
one concerning Python
the other one said " Your ArcGIS was not detected. Some fubctionality ... may not be properly installed.
And, indeed, Arcpad Data Manger was not installed.
Although ArcGIS Pro desktop 10.2 is runnig fully on my desktop.
I uninstalled both ArcPAD and ArcGIS' and reinstall ArcGIS 10.2 and after than, ArcPAD, but the message return.
ArcGIS 10.2 and ArcPAD10.2 are both installed and run, but ArcPAD Data Manger in not installed
You mentioned "ArcGIS Pro desktop 10.2" which is ambiguous.
Can you clarify if you were running "ArcGIS Pro" or "ArcGIS Desktop" the answer to that question makes a difference.
ArcPad uses Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition 3.x files for disconnected editing. This format is the native database format present on Windows Mobile devices. It's because of this requirement, the ArcPad Data Manager can only run in 32 bit mode which is means it will only work in ArcGIS Desktop not in ArcGIS Pro.
Good day Stephen, and thank you for answering me.
I must admit that i was not aware to rhe difrencese between the versions.
Anyway i am runnig ArcGIS Pro on win 10 / 64 ( see the attached screenshot.
I must mention that when i wanted to install ArcGIS, from ESRI site, i was
"asked" to upgrade windows from 32 to 64 bit.
My mobile device is A Trimble Juno T41/5 and is running under Windows
Embedded Hanheld 6.5 Professional.
ON my mobile is running ArcPAD Version 10.2 r2 (Build 50).
I want to built a Project ( with layers ) on ArcGIS, and than transfer it
to tje mobile, because i am planning to colect data in the field, using the
built in GPS on my mobile.
I tried to download the ArcPAD Data Manager becaus that is the recommanded
by ESRI to transfer data between ArcGIS and ArcPAD.
What do you suggest me to do ?
Thanks, Eli.
