Protocol for connecting rangefinder

I have previously been using Arcpad 7 and now we have Arcpad 10. When I go to Rangefinder preferences there are no dropdown options for the Protocol. These were available for arpad 7. Am I missing a basic step or should there be options for Rangefinder protocol?

In ArcPad 8 a number of extensions were 'turned off' to save memory on small devices - the rangefinders are amoung these. You can turn the extension back on in Advanced Settings > Extensions. For more information refer to:
