Panasonic Toughbook U1

I have ArcPad 8 SP3 loaded on a Panasonic Toughbook U1 unit running Windows XP OS. The U1 has a integrated digital camera and when I try to use the camera to capture a photo in a feature it crashes ArcPad. I have tried this with a Quick Project as well as other shapefiles and no luck. I have the Camera Options set to Windows AVI Capture and the camera checked in the Advanced Options under Extensions. Has anyone ran into this before or know of a fix?

I also have a panasonic toughbook and have been trying to figure out how to get the camera to connect to arcpad 8. Can you share with me your extension or process in which you took to initially get arcpad 8 to recognise the onboard camera?

In multiple support communications through Esri it was determined that the camera in the U1 was not supported by ArcPad 8. I have not tried ArcPad 10 to see if it is compatible or not.
