Hi All,

I've scoured the Forums and have seem a number of posts like mine, but I'm still not getting it.

The user will add a point to the map. They will then enter an ID number (e.g 123) in the UserID field in the EditForm. The user will then add several more of the same point features to the map. I want to take that original entry (123) and autofill the UserID field for each subsequent point feature. So all future features will have the same UserID value.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Richard,

Are you using ArcPad 10.0.3?

When you collect a new feature, the edit form opens and you're able to add whatever attribute information you wish.  At the bottom of that form is a small green arrow pointing to the right.  This is the Repeated Attributes tool.  At the time you are collecting that first feature (and you know you want to collect more features with the same attribute) press this arrow.  It will turn orange, indicating that any additional features will use the same attributes.

If you don't have that arrow on your edit form, you're probably using a previous version of ArcPad (10.0.1 or older).  If this is the case, you need to manually add that button to a toolbar.  Via the ArcPad Toolbar Manager (10.0.1 and older), drag over the "Repeated Attributes" tool from the left hand column to one of your toolbars on the right.  If you're using 10.0.2 or newer, the toolbar manager has been replaced by Design Mode.

Does this help?
