Hello ESRI community!
I hoping that someone out there can help me with an ArcPad data collection question. My office is in the process of changing our GPS data collection from TerraSync to ArcPad 10 with Trimble Positions. In TerraSynce, our workflow involved taking natural resource "flag" data at each GPS point and then creating the polygon or line feature in the office. With this flow, we had a record of notes at each point and we use this in our office work later. Now as we transition to taking vertices of polygons or lines in the fiels instead of individual GPS points, we find ourselves losing this capability. It seems to me that one could record a flag ID on the screen that pops up as you wait to accumulate enough positions at each vertex.
I am wondering two things.
1. Has anyone tried to change the vertices properties and a field for an ID?
2. Has anyone discovered a quick way to create flag IDs at a vertex? We cannot take individual GPS points at each vertex because this will take too long but we could draw points on the map itself (these points need not be too specific).
