I have a custom arcpad on my trimble.  It is set up to collect certain points symbolized a certain way.  I want to get these shapefiles into a Geodatabase, then begin using the ArcPad Data Manager Tools to check in-check out.  Does anyone know if it's possible to get these new files into my custom arcpad through the Arcpad Data Manager toolbar, so i can still use the custom arcpad i have set up?

Hi Jake,

There is a gp tool called QuickProject to Geodatabase. This will take all of the shapefiles in one folder and create a new personal or file geodatabase for you.

The Key is in the data manager. When you check out the featureclasses from the GDB in ArcMap, you want to use your original APL as a template

and you should be good to go.

Let me know how you go.

Cheers,

Gareth
