ArcPad won't recognize GPS on Trimble

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. I was sent a Trimble Recon with a Global Sat BC-337 GPS CF Card and ArcPad installed. It appears the Trimble is receiving GPS data (I check the "GPS Info" program installed on the Recon), but ArcPad does not recognize or receive any data. I conducted a search for GPS devices in the GPS Preferences menu, but it does not locate any.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Hi Brian,

Please insure the GPS application is not open when attempting to connect to GPS functionality within ArcPad. What Windows Mobile OS is installed on Trimble Recon? What version of ArcPad is used, what Build? What COM port and BAUD rate settings are listed in ArcPad > GPS Preferences > GPS dialog? If you are current in ArcPad maintenance, please log a support request with Esri Support via http://support.esri.com. We now have Phone, Email, Webform, and Chat options to connect you with an ArcPad specialist who can help you troubleshoot your current challenge.

Good luck,
Denise

Denise,

Thanks for replying. I figured it out and got it to work before your reply. I messed with the ports and ArcPad found the GPS.

thanks again,
Brian
