Sirs

I am new to arcpad but twice when I have captured polygon data by GPS a line has been added from one of the vertices to the edge of the screen. I have encountered similar lines when I have edited third party GIS data. What causes the lines that are added and how do I avoid them?

Dr. Studley,

I haven't seen this behavior before nor heard it reported by other ArcPad users. But perhaps your post will bring out other users who have experienced this.

What version of ArcPad is used, what SPs are installed? What device are  you using? Does it have all recommended upgrades and GPS Firmware  installed? What type of terrain exists where you collect GPS positions? Are there any obvious sources of GPS interference? Are you using the Polygon feature tool or one of the other shape tools? As you can see, we need to gather additional information to assist you in troubleshooting this issue  and I encourage you to log a support request with Esri Support via Esri  Support site, http://support.esri.com/.

Cheers,
Denise
