Can we use arcpad 10.0 with arcgis 10.3.1 without compatibilty issues?

We have arcpad 10.0 on the GPS and on the Desktop but the Arcgis is now 10.3.1.

They should work fine on the same desktop since they are separate products, (if not, I will have problems later this month).  What I don't know is whether any ArcPad tools  (that is the ArcPad Data Manager) will work the same, but my guess is it is ok. I don't use the tools myself, or haven't so far, and instead pep all the data I need manually.  But my ArcPad apps are all customized anyway (not OTB apps).

edit: btw, here is same basci question for 10.2 Arcpad 10.2 Compatibility

fyi - I still have many of my projects in 7.x

Thanks.  I was told by support that Arcpad 10.2 will work with 10.3 but they were not sure about earlier versions.  I was only able to talk to an installation support person since we are a non-profit and we do not get tech support.

I have not been able to test the compatibility.

If anyone has any other experiences with this please share.

Hola Brian,

I understand you wanted to know if ArcPad 10.0 is compatible with ArcMap 10.3.1, and the answer is Yes. ArcPad is an independent model, there’s no ‘compatibility’ needed between it and ArcMap. The only component that is related to ArcMap is the ArcPad Data Manager, where it will leverage the Check Out/In data component. This can be used overall with just about any supported versions of ArcMap (ArcMap 10.0-10.3x). I hope this addresses your question but we are here to assist if you have any further questions or issues. Gracias, Brian!

- Please keep in mind if you have ArcPad 10.0, this may be the overall issue you may be seeing. I would suggest acquiring ArcPad 10.0.5, uninstall ArcPad 10.0 from both the PC and mobile device. I would then install ArcPad 10.0.5 on the PC, then deploy it onto the device.

- Always make sure to have your ArcPad registration code available, you are able to use the same one you had for ArcPad 10.0 in ArcPad 10.0.5.

- You can download ArcPad 10.0.5 from MyEsri.
