.APA Question

Because of certain hardware limitations, I am unable to open an existing .apm with a 14 mb. .axf file.  As a result, I have broken our data into 2 sets with corresponding .axf, .apa, and .vbs files.  We run a custom toolbar (.vbs) that currently includes all of the features to be collected.  What I have done is created 2 separate and new .vbs custom toolbar files as well as 2 modified .apa files with the correct .vbs to hit for each.  What I am trying to figure out is how to make ArcPad hit 2 different .apa files automatically in 2 different .apm(s) or 1 .apa and the corresponding .vbs for each .apm.  The custom toolbar's intent is to make the collection as simple as possible for the end user avoiding any possible system modifications (inlcluding changing the applet location each time they have to open the other .apm).  We are using ArcPad 10 with GPScorrect 3.14.  Anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this task?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi Steve R,

I know it may be obvious to you having troubleshooted your hardware limitation and came up with the path you're on, but, perhaps you can bring us all up to speed and elaborate more on the hardware limitation you're trying to workaround?

It may stimulate discussion on ideas that you may have not previously considered.

Sure.  We run the Recon 400x with a 400 mhz processing speed.  It simply cannot open an .apm with a 14mb .axf file (including 34 domains we cannot eliminate).  We let it run for an hour with no success.  That is why we had to unfortunately break the .apm and .axf into two different sets.  My original plan was to run it as one piece, but I don't think it is going to happen.  This is why I am trying to figure out how to access to different .apa files or 1 .apa with two .vbs programatically triggered by each if possible.
