Alert/Error message in arcpad 7.1.1 on a magellan mobile mapper cx

After I activate the gps signal/receiver on my magellan mobile mapper cx in arcpad, I get this message.......

"No data is being received by your GPS receiver.  Check cables and configuration options."

Has anyone experienced this error message before and know how to fix the issue or have a workaround?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It means you probably do not have the GPS Preferences set correctly. Make certain you have the GPS port set to COM 2 with a baud rate of 57600.

That did it!  I don't know how those settings got changed since they were set to your suggestions on a different mobile mapper cx.  Thanks again!
