What's the recommended limit for the GraphicTracker API?

I've been doing some testing on the GraphicTracker API and have found an inconsistency in the documentation. Here it says its designed for 100 graphics -

But here it says 1000 graphics -

Which is correct? My testing has shown so far that it struggles with 1000 graphics as ArcMap cannot redraw the graphics quickly enough before the next update kicks in. The locations are updating every second. Also with this level of update its difficult to interact with the map.
