I want to calculate surface area change of lakes. I have some coordinates of the coastlines and I have measurements (in meter) how the points changes:
e.g.:
Point A with XY-Coordinate and 10 measurements of different dates:
16.07.2009: +0,5 m
25.07.2009: +1,24 m
01.09.2009: -0,37 m
etc.
I want to draw polygones that show the area change, but I have no idea how to change the coordinate with the measurements. A problem is: it depends on the direction (for points at the west coast of the lake extension means to move to the west, for points at the east side of the lake extension means to move to the east ...)
Furthermore it would be helpful to interpolate the coastline from the points, tried some things but didn't get a good result.
