I have a web application that makes use of a MapControl to dynamically show ArcGIS layers stored as an mxd. We are using ArcGIS server 9.3 with Oracle SDE and the application is written in VB.NET.
From the ArcGIS server manager I see that the services are running, pooled and max instances set to 5. Directory permissions on IIS for the app is set to 'Script and Executable' for Everyone user, basically no restrictions. The MapControl is using the 'ArcGIS server Local' setup to consume these services.
Problem starts when I view the website from an instance of IE on client machine, although this works perfectly well on the server hosting the website.
I have seen this problem reported by other users on this forum with no definite reply/conclusion.
Is this a problem with ArcGIS server MapControl or am I doing something wrong.
Appreciate any help in this matter as this is hampering release of a critical tool on our company's infrastructure.
