Utm coordinates are already in meters. As long as the distance is not too great (hundreds of km), you can use the pythagorean theorem. For more accuracy the military analyst extension has some objects do calculate geodesic distances. Unless you are dealing with great distances (not really suitable for UTM) or very high accuracy data you probably don't need the gedesic distance.)
