Tool messages box is not displayed

Hi,
I have a problem affecting only one person in our organization with ArcMap 10.6.1. Since few days, his tools messages boxes are not displayed anymore when he runs it in ArcMap or ArcCatalog. Only the box header is displayed.
You can see here what happens for instance:
He can move and close the box but cannot open or resize it to see the messages.
We tried to reset his profile settings using this procedure (https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-desktop-installation-support-docs/resetting-your-arcgis-desktop...), but that does not solve the problem.
Any suggestion?
