Grid Snapping tool that was released in Nov 24

Can this tool be used to run a geoprocessing function to make a new layer of carved up squares of an original bigger polygon?

Hi @vic7oria, no the grid is not a geoprocessing tool. It is intended to be a snappable reference guide while creating or editing features. That being said, you could manually do this by aligning the grid to the feature's boundaries and then using split by line in Web Editor while snapping to the grid. I'm not sure if this would solve your use case?

That is likely what we will end up doing. Though we are still going to wait until they develop it a bit more.
