Why do I need to use HTTPS to use My Location widget?

Why do I get a message that says The widget is only available when the app is accessed through HTTPS in this browser when I use the My Location widget in a Chrome browser?  On my phone it doesn't even display the message, the icon is just grayed out.

Thanks, I wish this was included in the help for the widget.  That would have saved some time!  Question though, I made the change to the security of the organization but the apps still use HTTP.  When I try to manually change it to HTTPS, the app will not load.

UPDATE:  I made an edit to the webmap and now it does try to access using HTTPS but the app still wont load.

The problem seems to be mixed content, but I don't know where or how to fix this issue.
