Anyone know when Web AppBuilder (Developer Edition) 1.2 is going to be released?  I thought it was scheduled to be released the first week of August 2015, but apparently the date has been pushed back.

Thanks,

Josh

Hi Derek, Has this BUG-000087830 – Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Developers Edition does not allow anonymous access to an application when Portal for ArcGIS is configured with Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA). The web maps configured with the application are shared with everyone in Portal for ArcGIS – fixed in this edition?

Hi SR,

BUG-000087830 was rejected because this is how the software was designed to work.

When Portal for ArcGIS is configured with Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA), by definition Portal does NOT allow for anonymous access. You must be a member of the Windows Active Directory and provide explicit credentials to access Portal, therefore we can't allow anonymous access to a web app.

Hope this helps,

Derek:

When Portal is configured with IWA, does the concept of publishing for "Everyone" have any meaning?

Does a map published for Everyone mean that any WIA authenticated user can see the map, even if they are not a Named User?

Or does configuring Portal with IWA mean that an IWA domain authenticated user must also be a Named User to access any information via Portal?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

> Does a map published for "Everyone" mean that any IWA authenticated user can see the map, even if they are not a Named User?

If you configure your Portal for ArcGIS with IWA authentication, then Portal items that are set to be shared with "everyone" means that any Windows AD user should be able to see and view that item. They do not need to be a named user in Portal.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Derek, very helpful to know that.  I was counting (hoping) on it working that way.
