Hiding labels in extent

I am trying to hide or disable the distance labels in the drawn extent

The client doesn't need the distance tool in the Draw widget, so I am hiding the entire distance div. The thing is, since it's still active /ON, it shows the distance in the drawn extent on the map. Any advice on how to proceed to disable it /turn it off from the map?

  If you are talking about the OTB Draw widget there is a configuration for showing the Perimeter measurement label.
