Custom Batch Attribute Editor - Auto Populate Fields?

In order to minimize margin of data entry error, I wanted to see if anyone has figured out how to set up a custom Batch Attribute Editor widget that would allow auto-population of fields based on met-criteria. I was able to achieve this via Attribute Rules in ArcPro, but unfortunately I found out that our current setup won't allow those to be implemented, since our system is primarily using ArcGIS Desktop. Here are examples of what I'm looking to do:

If CompletedWork Type is not null and CrewComplete = 1 and Status = 6, update the StatusSymbol field with status value + "-" + CompletedWorkType

If Completed Work Type is not null and Crew Complete = 1, update Status field with the Status value 6

Happy to elaborate more if needbe--I've never created my own widgets, so any help from the community would be much appreciated!
