Is there any way to use a layer, other than a Hosted Feature Service in the Attachment Viewer application? We have several "working" layers created form our FGDBs that would be great to use in the Attachment Viewer apps, but can't be created as Hosted Feature Services....

Hi Eric,

What kind of 'working' layers do you mean specifically? The Attachment Viewer application is configured to work with hosted feature services or ArcGIS Server feature services.

Thanks!

Hi Sarah!

The layer I was hoping to implement with the Attachment Viewer (Subdivisions) was created as a Map service, which has attachments of the legal record of when they were created,

https://ago.clarkcountyohio.gov/ccoarcgis/rest/services/WMAS/Subdivisions/MapServer

I was hoping that it would work with any type of service that has attachments, instead of turning a “legacy” service into a Hosted Feature service and then updating that with any future revisions/additions….

Thanks!

Eric

Another quick question on this, will this be available at any point through ArcGIS Portal? I have several other public apps available through a Minimal Gallery app on Portal and would have liked to add this to that also.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi Eric,

Currently, Attachment Viewer will only recognize attachments on a Hosted Feature Service or a ArcGIS Server Feature Service. This is referenced in the data requirements page in the applications item details: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=3ce375a56ed145bfa5e2214e2ad8983d

We are hoping to see the Attachment Viewer in future releases of Portal for ArcGIS.

Thanks!

Thanks for info Sarah!

Would you have any examples of applications with the Onboarding panel being used? Trying to decide if it will be worth adding that in also….

Is there any way to have the footer in the Attachment window disappear? It is keeping the bottom scroll bar of the window from being accessed.

Thanks for all the help!

Hi Eric,

Is there anything specific you are looking to see as an example in the onboarding panel?

There is no parameter in the configuration panel to remove the footer in the attachment panel. However, you might be able to customize the application using custom CSS.

Here is some more information about CSS: Modify configurable app using custom css

Nothing in particular as far as examples. Just curious to see how it is being utilized…

Hi Sarah,

I'm struggling to make my ArcGIS Server-hosted Feature Service show its images in the Attachment Viewer App.  The images look fine in the web map but refuse to show up in the app.  I've added the Feature Service URL in four different configurations, but none are working. I also published a sample as a Hosted Feature Service and it works just fine (HHM Test BK). Any advice?
