Add Select by Line to Query Widget in Web AppBuilder.

I want users to Query or select polygons and add a buffer to select parcels within that buffer distance from the selected polygon(s). Therefore, I want to add Select by Line to Query Widget in Web AppBuilder. The default is a rectangle, which is very cumbersome to not add additional polygons when the string of polygons run at angle from upper right to lower left.

I hope the attached link shows what I want to do. Granted the Select Widget allows Select by Line as an option, I do not see the option to add the buffer. If I am missing a way to currently do this I am grateful to know about it.
