Hi There
I have downloaded and compiled the silverlight viewer time slider sample into a XAP file and added it to my application builder. I have a map service with a time enabled layer in it and have confirmed this through the services directory. I've even added this service back into ArcMap to test the time slider functionality of the service and it behaves as expected with the desktoptime tool.
The problem is when I try to add this map service to the new silverlight viewer app and deploy it, the time slider window does not become enabled in the client app. The only way I seem to be able to make this work is when I am adding a new layer in the viewer, that I drill down to the time enabled layer itself, instead of just the map service. However, even though the time slider tool enables in the end product, the layer itself does not render. Sooo, as a workaround, I seem to have to add two layers: the map service itself, so that it renders, and the individual time enabled layer, so that the time slider tool works.
Something is not right... I am using ArcGIS 10 desktop/server and the new Silverlight app 1.01 and Google chrome. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
